2020 JUCO Team of the Week W5


Quarterback, BeSean McCray / Hinds

Hinds freshman quarterback BeSean McCray (6’, 185) completed 9-17 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-21 win over Southwest. McCray also rushed for 93 yards on nine carries with another touchdown.

All-Purpose, Kyren Batey / Holmes

Holmes sophomore quarterback Kyren Batey (5’10, 200) rushed 22 times for 161 yards and a touchdown in a 14-10 loss to Northeast. He also was 2-2 passing for 28 yards.

Running Back, Dajon Richard / Hinds

Hinds freshman running back Dajon Richard (6’, 190) needed 18 carries to rush for 145 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-21 win over Southwest. 

Wide Receiver, Andison Coby / Northeast

Northeast freshman wide receiver Andison Coby (6’2, 180) finished with five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown in a 14-10 win over Holmes.



Defensive Line, Jalen Williams / Jones

Jones sophomore defensive tackle Jalen Williams (6’3, 305) racked up 11 tackles in a 37-13 win over Pearl River.

Linebacker, Hayden Hill / Co-Lin

Co-Lin sophomore linebacker Hayden Hill (6’1, 225) finished with 17 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and a pass broken up in a 13-10 overtime loss to East Central.

Defensive Back, Damien Lynch / Pearl River

Pearl River sophomore defensive back Damien Lynch (5’10, 195) picked up nine total tackles with a tackle for loss and a pass defended in a 37-13 loss to Jones.



Kicker/Punter, Robens Beauplan / East Central

East Central sophomore kicker/punter Robens Beauplan (6’, 195) was 2-2 on field goals included a game-winner in overtime as East Central beat Co-Lin 13-10. He also averaged 43 yards punting on six punts.
